Conservatoire | Dance Conservatory Australia is proud to partner with Grand Prix Elite to host the Grand Prix Elite Experience on the Gold Coast this September.
Bringing together classical and contemporary training, professional mentorship and scholarship selection, the experience will be led by internationally acclaimed teacher and award-winning choreographer Krista King-Doherty, alongside two-time YAGP International Finals Gold Medalist Juliet Doherty.
Created for dedicated young dancers aged 9–19 years, this is more than a traditional audition.
Across two workshop-style training experiences, dancers will have the opportunity to learn, explore and perform in a professional environment designed to reveal both technical ability and individual artistry — while being considered for 2027 Australian and international scholarship opportunities.

Throughout the experience, dancers will explore technique, movement quality, musicality, artistry and performance, with an emphasis on individual attention, professional insight and allowing each dancer to show who they are as an artist.
Krista King-Doherty is an internationally acclaimed teacher and award-winning choreographer, and a four-time recipient of YAGP’s Outstanding Choreographer Award. Her work has been presented at leading competitions and festivals internationally, as well as on NBC’s World of Dance.
Juliet Doherty is a two-time YAGP International Finals Gold Medalist with an international career spanning dance, film and education. She teaches and choreographs for pre-professional dancers, companies and universities around the world.
Together, Krista and Juliet bring a wealth of professional experience and a shared commitment to meaningful mentorship, individual attention and the development of emerging artists.
Dancers participating in the Grand Prix Elite Experience will have the opportunity to be considered for Australian and international scholarships for 2027, creating pathways to further training and development.
