PART TIME ACADEMY

Where elite training meets academic balance.

The Part Time Academy is for dedicated dancers aged 12+ years who are ready to take their training to the next level without compromising on school or studio life.

Designed for students who are often seen as “the serious one” in their studio or cohort, and are seeking more: more structure, more opportunity, and more preparation for what comes next.

This is a stepping stone for families who want to take things seriously—without going full-time just yet.

What You Need to Know

  • Training Schedule

    Daytime Training (Wednesday or Friday)

    Core technique and physical conditioning

    Smart dancer sessions

    Guest workshops, repertoire development and audition techniques in all styles

    Creative projects and performance opportunities

    Personalised mentoring and career planning

    Nationally accredited qualifications available

    8:30am – 3:00pm during the school term
    (School work is integrated and supported as needed)

  • How It Fits with School & Studio

    Our program supports school—it doesn’t replace it.
    Students typically complete their academic studies one day a week through a traineeship-style arrangement with their school—similar to attending TAFE—while continuing evening and weekend training at their home studios.

    For those completing a nationally accredited qualification, the program contributes directly to QCE points and/or ATAR, allowing students to pursue their passion for the arts while meeting their high school graduation requirements.

  • Program Outcomes

    Graduates of the Part Time Academy walk away with:

    ✔ Nationally accredited qualifications available - delivered in partnership with Empowerdance Pty Ltd RTO 40397
    ✔ Advanced technique and performance maturity across core styles
    ✔ Strong foundation in conditioning, injury prevention, and safe dance practices
    ✔ Exposure to choreographers, mentors, and real-world performance environments
    ✔ Increased confidence, independence, and career-readiness in the performing arts
    ✔ Clear progression into higher-level programs or professional and tertiary opportunities

    This program is also the gateway into our College of Performing Arts and Pre-Professional programs.

  • How to Apply

    Entry is via Live or Online Audition.
